This week during our win time, we focused on how to show respect in the building. We walked the halls quietly and performed skits to demonstrate how to take care of our cafeteria. The last group made an impromptu skit about milk spilling on the floor. Eliot had us laughing
Mr. Reichl taught us science this week. We learned about surface tension and how water behaves on different surfaces. We were all impressed about how many drops of water can fit on the head of a penny!
Our classroom visitor, Ms. Danna Cornick, visited us to release her monarch butterflies in our butterfly garden. Ms. Danna created a waystation for butterflies as they make their journey to Mexico. A surprising thing happened that afternoon to Siena...
To celebrate Patriot Day on September 11, our class wrote letters to one of Mrs. Hollick's former second grade students. Recruit Bryan Wood entered the Marine Corps in August. We wrote a book called If I Could Be Your Drill Sergeant. The kids created hilarious routines for the marines to follow to stay healthy and strong. We hope he enjoys reading them!
