This week in science, we tried using a variety of classroom resources to try to clean dirty water. The children developed some fantastic designs. Then, we built our filters. Just look at our results!

What a busy week! To celebrate the 100th day of school, the kids participated in a fun "100 seconds to win it" activity with dice and Popsicle sticks. The kids earned a pizza party on Wednesday for completing the Academic Vocabulary game board. Finally, I introduced our new class pet named Fusion. His moss ball is a great example of how plants provide oxygen to living creatures. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ¡Qué semana tan ocupada! Para celebrar el 100º día de escuela, los niños participaron en una divertida actividad de "100 segundos para ganarla" con dados y palitos de Popsicle. Los niños ganaron una fiesta de pizza el miércoles para completar el tablero de juego de Vocabulario Académico. Finalmente, le presenté a nuestra nueva mascota de clase llamada Fusion. Su bola de musgo es un gran ejemplo de cómo las plantas proporcionan oxígeno a las criaturas vivientes. Our class studied plants and how each part contributes to growth. Here, Delaney is making observations to her celery stalk that was placed in dyed water. Her scientific drawing will complete her non-fiction text.
